You’re not lost. You’re trying to make sense of too many options.

You can scroll through dozens of jobs and still feel like none of them fit. When everything is technically possible, it can be hard to tell what is actually worth pursuing.

You feel underused

You know there is more you could be doing, but your current role is not bringing it out of you.

You keep circling the same questions

Change jobs? Stay where you are? Go back to school? Try something completely different? The same possibilities keep coming back.

Nothing really grabs you

You see plenty of options, but very few feel connected to what you actually want.

How this helps

A plan, a partner, and enough accountability to actually move.

A direction you can work with — and something real to do next.

Plan: Sort through what’s been circling in your head and decide what is actually worth pursuing.

Action: Turn that into something concrete to test, ask, try, apply for, or follow through on.

Accountability: Keep the next step alive long enough to learn something from it — and decide what comes after.

How the work moves: Talk, Test, Act, Learn, Adjust, then repeat.
John Fialkowski, Career Coach
Who you’ll be working with

This work is serious. The conversations do not have to feel heavy.

I’m John Fialkowski. I describe my work as career-oriented life coaching: we start with work, but we also look at the rest of your life and what may be shaping the decisions you are trying to make.

My approach is conversational and direct. We talk through what is actually going on, pay attention to what keeps coming up, and figure out what might be worth trying next.

Most people already know more than they think they do. Sometimes they just need someone to listen closely, ask better questions, and help turn what is already there into action.

From someone I’ve worked with

“I did 5 sessions with John focused on rethinking my career and what direction I want to go in. He helped rewire my thinking in a way that has made me confident in what I want out of my work.”

Real clarity. More confidence. A better sense of direction.
Before we talk

A few things worth knowing before we talk

Do I need to be unemployed or actively job hunting?

No. A lot of this work starts while things are still relatively stable. You may be employed, comfortable, and doing perfectly well on paper — but still know something needs to change.

What if my situation is actually pretty good?

That can be a very useful time to do this work. You do not need a crisis to start asking whether your current role is still giving you enough challenge, growth, meaning, or room to become something different.

What if I already have ideas about what I want to do?

Good. We do not need to invent options for the sake of it. The work may be about pressure-testing what you already have, figuring out what is worth pursuing, and actually doing something with it.

What am I really paying for?

Not an answer handed to you. You are paying for a structured process, a second set of eyes, honest feedback, and enough accountability to turn ideas into action and learn from what happens next.

You need to start somewhere. This is a pretty easy place to start.

You don’t need a plan. You don’t need to make a decision. You don’t even need to know exactly what you want to talk about.

It’s 20 minutes. It’s free. Tell me what’s going on, what’s been bothering you, and what you’ve been thinking about. We’ll see whether there’s something worth working on.

You’ve got very little to lose by having the conversation.
